Life lately

Hi everyone!! I thought in between the motherhood posts, I’d give you a little update on what the family has been up to.

Gosh, we’ve been busy!! Hunter and Max have started term 2 which has seen a whole lot of busy in our house because with school comes sport starting again.  The boys are loving school, and some of the school issues (here’s cheers to having one of the difficult kids), haven’t been an issue yet, so we are doing well on that front!

Both the boys do dancing- H does hip hop and acro and Max does tap and modern- both are on a Saturday, which sees us generally racing into town an hour away to drive back and forth from the dance school to the various errands I need to run.  H is learning how to do cartwheels, handstands and backbends, and Max is learning how to tap his feet (and if this weeks lesson is anything to go by, how to roll around on the floor while the teacher begs you to get up).

We also had our first football training and game last week.  I am team manager, but I still have no clue what I am doing, which means everything is chaotic and a little bit stressful when I think of football!  Despite that, Max’s first ever game (at the tender age of 6 in a 10 and under competition) was a success.  Both boys had a touch or two of the football, there was no bloodshed and we left the oval enthusiastic for midweek training.

Seeding is still happening, which means nightshift and the odd day off for Phillip, and lots of out-of-routine-ness for me and the kids.  We haven’t managed a second trip on the tractor, but plan to get there at some stage in the near future, as they should be close by the house soon!

I’ve had one meeting after another recently, and to tell the truth barely coped last week, but we have emerged smiling and mostly sane, so we will count that as a win! Yes, life lately has been one big ball of chaos, but we will keep on trucking!

Here’s what we got up to on the last day of holidays with the kids;
